Meet Melissa, Counsellor at Surfcoast Women’s Health Group
At Surf Coast Women’s Health Group in Jan Juc, we’re proud to facilitate the work of highly skilled practitioners dedicated to transforming women’s healthcare across the Surf Coast. One such practitioner is Melissa, a registered and accredited counsellor whose compassionate, down-to-earth approach supports women through all life stages.
Melissa brings a rich background in nursing and postgraduate qualifications in counselling to her therapeutic work. This unique blend of clinical and emotional insight shapes her ability to help clients navigate life’s complexities with empathy and clarity. Whether addressing anxiety, relationship challenges, stress, or emotional overwhelm, Melissa offers practical, evidence-informed support that’s as collaborative as it is compassionate.
What truly sets Melissa apart is her unwavering respect for the individuality of each client. She honours diverse ways of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world—particularly neurodivergence—and creates a space where women feel seen, heard, and supported without judgement.
Women from Torquay, Ocean Grove, Geelong, Armstrong Creek, Grovedale, Waurn Ponds and surrounds seek Melissa’s guidance for her calm, steady presence and her ability to gently untangle the mental and emotional knots that life can create. She works from the firm belief that quality of life can improve when care is personalised and grounded in respect for lived experience.
Melissa’s work is a valued part of the collaborative care model that defines Surf Coast Women’s Health Group. Her counselling practice complements the broader network of holistic women’s health services offered at our Jan Juc clinic, supporting an integrated and empowering approach to wellness.
